Recipe of the Month: Pizza Margherita

Pizza Margherita

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • Fresh mozzarella
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, salt, and sugar in a large bowl
  2. Dissolve yeast in warm water, let stand for 5 minutes
  3. Mix wet and dry ingredients, knead for 10 minutes
  4. Let dough rise for 1 hour
  5. Preheat oven to 450°F
  6. Roll out dough and add toppings
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes
  8. Add fresh basil and enjoy!
